Skinny Frosty Copycat

If you love the classic Wendy's Frosty, you need to try this skinny chocolate milkshake.

I originally got the idea to use hot chocolate mix from Dashing Dish. Hot chocolate mix adds the right combination of flavors and sweetness. When you pair this with healthy additions like almond milk and low fat cottage cheese, you get a skinny copycat of the delicious Frosty. While I'm not going to say this recipe is as good as the original Frosty, it comes pretty close. And with half of the calories and fat grams, you really can't beat that.

Skinny Frosty Copycat
(1 milkshake)

1 packet hot chocolate (I use Swiss Miss Cocoa Classics Marshmallow)
1 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 packet stevia (or sweetener of your choice)
1/4 cup low fat no salt added cottage cheese*
1/3 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
2-3 handfuls of ice

Add all of the ingredients to a blender and blend for 30 seconds. Add more ice for a thicker milkshake. Top with whipped cream or Cool Whip and enjoy!

*Cottage cheese is the secret ingredient to a super creamy milkshake. Even if you are not a fan, try it once and I bet you will never use yogurt in your milkshakes or smoothies again!
