Halloween Pudding Cookies

Have you ever tried a pudding cookie? You know, where you add instant pudding mix to the cookie dough? If not, you need to make these cookies pronto.

This recipe, which has the same base list of ingredients as my S'more Chocolate Chippies, is a standard cookie recipe in my kitchen. Switch up the mix-ins for whatever you have on hand or whatever you are craving. It's similar to a Tollhouse chocolate chip cookie, but better.

Yes, better. The pudding mix not only adds a ton of flavor, but it also keeps the cookies super soft and fresh for days. If you prefer crispy, crunchy cookies then you are reading the wrong recipe. If you like soft and chewy cookies then you need to try this recipe!

Halloween Pudding Cookies
(30 cookies)

3/4 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
1/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
1 3.4-ounce instant vanilla pudding mix
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup White Chocolate Candy Corn M&Ms
1 cup white chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare baking sheets by lining them with parchment paper or a Silpat mat.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and two sugars until well combined. Beat in vanilla pudding mix. Add eggs, one at a time, until well incorporated. Mix in vanilla extract.

In another small bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, and salt. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just incorporated. Fold in M&Ms and white chocolate chips.

Drop tablespoon size cookie dough onto prepared cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes, or until just turning golden brown (be careful not to over bake). Cool on cookie sheet for 5 minutes before removing to wire rack to cool completely.

    1. What?! I wish I had the problem of not liking M&Ms. But luckily these cookies go well with just about anything you add to them. :)

    1. I thought of you when I was making these. :) I still like the S'mores Pudding Cookies the best, but these are a fun, festive cookie for Halloween. And obviously perfect for tailgating! (Wish I could be thereee!)
