Skinny Cake Batter Dip

With spring right around the corner, I can hardly wait for all of the fresh produce that will soon be available. I'm not a fan of winter for a lot of reasons, but the lack of fresh fruits and vegetables is at the top of my list. For someone who could eat berries all day, every day, having to settle for frozen and/or imported berries just doesn't cut it. Bring on spring and all of your delicious fruit.

Black Bean Hummus

Looking back, it probably would have been smart to post this dip on Superbowl Sunday for all of you party people who love hummus. I apologize for my brain fart! But hey, this recipe can give you an excuse to have people over more often. A delicious hummus recipe is just as good of a reason as any.

Skinny Spinach Artichoke Dip

Can y'all believe that 2012 is almost over? I feel like this year has flown by! I know people always say that, but honestly March feels like just yesterday. The days are long, but the years are short indeed.

Brownie Batter Dip

With summer coming to an end, I'm having to say goodbye to my outdoor concert venues. The summer of 2012 has been the summer of concerts for me-I've gone to nine concerts so far and might have one or two more I'll try to sneak in. I sure do love my live music!

One of the many things I love about concerts is tailgating. Bringing good food and cold drinks and hanging out with friends before a concert has fun times written all over it. This past weekend I went to the Luke Bryan/Jason Aldean concert outside of D.C. and decided to treat my friends to this Brownie Batter Dip. The entire container was wiped clean by the end of the night.

2 Ingredient Fruit Dip

Ok, so I have a confession to make: I love, love, love eating marshmallow fluff by the spoonfuls. Yes, straight out of the container. No need for peanut butter, although that makes a tasty treat too. My roommates have a running joke about my marshmallow obsession. One of my roommates may or may not have bought me marshmallow flavored vodka for Christmas. And I may or may not have had the biggest smile on my face when I opened it.

3 Layer Mexican Dip

Warm Layered Mexican Dip by My Retro Kitchen
This simple Mexican layer dip is a quick appetizer you can throw together when you have people over.  This dip is great by itself but is also a good base for adding different layers, such as refried beans, black beans, corn, onions, or queso cheese. Because this recipe calls for reduced fat cream cheese and shredded cheese, you can snack on this yummy dip without feeling too guilty. (You could even try using fat free cream cheese or reducing the amount of shredded cheese to cut the calories and fat even more.) With football season and tailgating right around the corner, this recipe will surely come in handy.
