Sneaky Skinny Brownies

I'm not going to lie, I almost didn't try these. I am pretty fearless in the kitchen and usually don't let "weird" ideas or ingredients get to me, but this one was pushing it. I won't even mention what the weird ingredient is; if you are adventurous enough, you'll keep reading and maybe even try this recipe yourself.

What I will say is that these brownies turned out fabulous. They taste exactly like regular, perfect, full of fat and a ton of calories brownies. These skinny brownies are dense, moist, fudgey, and decadent. No one will know that these seemingly normal brownies have a deep, dark secret. And who cares! As long as they taste really freakin' good then no one needs to worry about what ingredients the chef is sneaking in to make these brownies skinny and better for you. (Thanks Skinnytaste for sharing this odd yet genius idea!)

Sneaky Skinny Brownies
(18 brownies)

1 box brownie mix (I used Duncan Hines Dark Chocolate Fudge Brownies)
1 15.5-ounce can black beans, drained

Put black beans in a colander and run under cold water until they are well rinsed and water runs clear. Add black beans back to can, fill with water, and add both the beans and water to a blender. Puree for 30 seconds.

Add brownie mix and pureed black beans to a bowl. Mix until incorporated.

Bake according to box instructions. (I found that mine were done about 5 minutes before the recommended cooking time, so periodically check yours throughout the baking time.)
